SMCAA Monthly Meet-Up: October – “A Primer on Using Excel to Help in Data Review”

October 25 @ 9:30 am 10:30 am

GoTo Meeting: https://meet.goto.com/664716005

At a previous meet-up, a member district referenced using pivot tables in excel to help view and sort data. This comment sparked the curiosity of others who were not familiar with use of pivot tables and how they can add to the total Excel spreadsheet experience. From this curiosity this month’s monthly meet-up was born.

On October 25th, Dr. Jennifer Renegar, Data & Assessment Specialist for Republic School District, will be joining us and sharing her expertise on how to get the most out of pivot tables and the VLOOKUP function in Excel. Attendees will be given the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning by using a sample data sheet provided the day of the meeting. In addition to this presentation, districts will have the chance to share the tools they are using to help view and sort data, and what trends they are noticing from their literacy assessments and MAP data.

These meet-ups will be casual in nature and allow YOU the chance to ask questions you have related to all things related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.  The open-forum format will give you the chance to hear not only from SMCAA personnel, but also from fellow members from across the state who join us during the meet-ups.

All Monthly Meet-Ups will use the same GoTo Meetings Room. To jump online to any of the Monthly Meet-Ups, CLICK HERE or go to this URL: https://meet.goto.com/664716005
