Title: The Missouri Education Update: Workforce, Accountability & What’s Next
Description: Join fellow Missouri curriculum directors for our monthly networking meeting focused on current state-level education initiatives and their implications for school districts. This month’s discussion will provide an opportunity to examine key topics on the agenda for the September 15, 2026 Missouri State Board of Education meeting and consider what these developments may mean for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and district planning.
Discussion Topics Include:
- Career and Technical Education Advisory Council: Review the State Report and discuss key takeaways, implications, and potential impact on district programs and student opportunities.
- Governor’s Workforce of the Future Executive Order 25-16: Explore the priorities outlined in the Executive Order and discuss how districts may need to respond to emerging workforce and career-readiness expectations.
- A-F Report Card Framework: Engage in discussion and finalization of the A-F Report Card framework for school districts, including considerations for implementation, communication, and using the framework to support continuous improvement.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share district perspectives, clarify implications, and collaborate with colleagues as Missouri education leaders prepare for the upcoming State Board meeting and changes that may affect districts across the state.
Audience: Missouri Curriculum Directors, Assistant Superintendents, and District Instructional Leaders
This meeting provides an opportunity to stay informed, share insights, and collaborate with colleagues on current initiatives affecting curriculum, instruction, and educator support.
