MAP Results Analysis, Fiscal Resource Allocation, and State Legislative Priorities

This meeting of Curriculum Directors brings instructional leaders together to analyze key State Board of Education priorities and translate state-level policy into actionable district practices. Grounded in the standing agenda items for October for the State Board of Education, this session highlights assessment data, legislative updates, state fiscal summaries, and teacher of the year recognition.
Discussion Focus
- Detailed MAP Results Analysis: a detailed review of Missouri Assessment Program (MAP)
- Fiscal Year Summary & Resource Allocation: Examine the State Board’s Fiscal Year Summary to understand statewide budget patterns
- State Board Legislative Priorities: Brief leaders on the State Board of Education’s upcoming legislative priorities, focusing on key education policy proposals and statutory changes that are discussed
- Financially Stressed Districts & Charter Schools: Discuss state oversight and support mechanisms concerning financially stressed school districts and charter schools.
- Recognizing Educator Excellence: Review the State Board resolution honoring the Missouri Teacher of the Year

Meet-ups will be casual in nature and allow YOU the chance to ask questions you have related to all things related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment. The open-forum format will give you the chance to hear not only from SMCAA personnel, but also from fellow members from across the state who join us during the meet-ups.
