Fall Summit – “The Power of Assessment Data as a Catalyst for Opportunity”  – Marriott Jefferson City

November 9 @ 7:30 am 3:00 pm

When educators use meaningful assessment data to understand where students are, identify prerequisite learning, monitor growth, and respond with intentional instruction, they transform data into action. Assessment becomes more than measuring learning; it becomes the roadmap for ensuring every student receives the right support at the right time.

Our Keynote Speaker for this event will be Gary Miller Associate Vice President of Content and Implementation for Curriculum Associates. Now entering his 32nd year in education, Gary holds a master’s degree in education, spent 10 years as a classroom teacher, and served as a director of school improvement for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Known for his passion for equity and “saying it like it is,” Gary tackles the hard topics head-on, challenges the status quo with a belief that we can always be better, and reminds us of why we do what we do.

Also joining us will be Shaun Bates, Missouri Assessment Program Manager, to speak to us about updates to the Missouri assessment program and all things state testing.  MOREnet will also be joining us to help us do some hands-on learning using A.I. to assist us with creating assessments.

Join your colleagues from across the state as we share and learn together what we need to know to improve our instruction through robust assessment writing, techniques and practices.
