May 8 @ 9:30 am – 11:00 am
When we hear the phrase “curriculum audit”, we often think about how well our curriculum is aligned to state standards and if our assessments align with the rigor expected through the Missouri Learning Standards and the Performance Level Descriptors. Audits ensure that the learning process aligns with academic goals and standards. We spend a lot of time writing the curriculum and reviewing our assessments, but how much time do we spend ensuring the written curriculum is truly being taught? All three components…the written, assessed, and taught curriculum must all be in alignment. Come join fellow educators across the state on May 8th as we discuss ways to not only conduct a curriculum audit over the written curriculum, but also ways to ensure that the written curriculum is being taught. This may sound similar to our March Meetup topic…which it is! We know people were busy with Spring Break and getting things ready for state testing, so turn-out was low. Because of this, and since this is such an important topic, we are using the same focus question and topic for our May Monthly Meetup.
