Quality assessments start with clear alignment to the standards. In this session, educators will explore the key components of a high-quality assessment and walk through a practical process for designing and auditing assessments that truly measure what students are expected to learn.

Participants will:

  • Learn a step-by-step process for writing assessments that reflect the Missouri Learning Standards
  • Use audit tools to evaluate assessment quality and alignment
  • Engage in hands-on practice to review and analyze sample assessments for alignment and rigor.
  • Explore the use of MoLEAP Blocks and other tech platforms to support assessment development

Whether you’re writing assessments from scratch or reviewing existing ones, this session will provide valuable strategies and resources to strengthen your assessment practices and support meaningful instruction.
