Instructional Guidelines for A.I. Usage – July 17th
Technological innovations continue to exponentially with each passing day. One specific area that school districts need to be cognizant of is the use of Artificial Intelligence in classrooms. Even though there are great benefits in using A.I. in the classroom, there are also challenges that districts need to be aware of. To help districts navigate the world of A.I., DESE has put together an “Artificial Intelligence Guidance for Local Education Agencies” document.
Join us for our July SMCAA Monthly Meetup as we review the guidance document and share best-practices when developing our own district guidelines. New to A.I.? come ready with your questions and thoughts! Familiar already with A.I.? Come share your experiences regarding your district policies and your own district’s experiences with student A.I. platforms so we can learn from one another!
Have questions in general regarding A.I.? Then you are in for a special treat! Bob Martin from MOREnet will be joining us to share his expertise and perspective on implementing instructional guidelines for A.I. !
St. Charles representatives won’t be able to attend, but they have already willingly shared their beginning of year A.I. presentation on the Padlet for people to view. We hope you are able to join us on the 17th for some robust discussion as we kick off the new school year’s Monthly Meetups with this exciting and timely topic.
Monthly Meetup padlet (https://padlet.com/SMCAAResources/monthlymeetups ) to share your district’s resources to help aid in our collaboration!
Meet-ups will be casual in nature and allow YOU the chance to ask questions you have related to all things related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment. The open-forum format will give you the chance to hear not only from SMCAA personnel, but also from fellow members from across the state who join us during the meet-ups.
All Monthly Meet-Ups will use the same GoTo Meetings Room. To jump online to any of the Monthly Meet-Ups, CLICK HERE or go to this URL: https://meet.goto.com/664716005
A password is required to login to the meeting. If you did not save the password from the last meeting, please email jriley@smcaa.org or arichardson@smcaa.org .
Since the Monthly Meet-Ups are designed to help address your questions and to meet your needs, if you have specific questions you would like to submit ahead of time, feel free to do so! To submit a question or a general topic you would like to see discussed, please CLICK HERE. You will be taken to a Google Form which will allow you the chance to share your questions with us.
