Book Study Cohort – The Success Criteria Playbook: A Hands-on Guide to Making Learning Visible and Measurable
Districts have (or are in the process of creating) a written curriculum. We know what we want students to know, but how will we know that they know it? More importantly, how will the STUDENTS know they have learned it? Having solid, actionable success criteria is an essential component of our teaching and the student’s learning, but oftentimes it is lacking in school districts.
During this year’s book study, we will work our way through The Success Criteria Playbook by John Almarode, Douglas Fisher, Kateri Thunder, and Nancy Frey (ISBN 9781071831540) as we learn how to provide students and teachers a clear view of what success looks like. You will need to purchase this book on your own (available through Amazon or Corwin) to follow along during the monthly meetings. Each month we will review and discuss the modules listed on the schedule, as well as go over timely DESE and SMCAA updates.
Sign up today and mark your calendars and join us for invigorating discussions as we explore ways to make learning visible and measurable through the implementation of success criteria!
