About the Missouri OER State Action Team – The MO OER State Action Team brings together individuals and organizations with a shared passion for building statewide capacity for the implementation of OER. The team was formed in 2018 with the support of the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC). We welcome members of Missouri’s educational community including both higher education and K-12.

The Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) is a regional organization established in 1991, comprising 12 states in the Midwest, including Missouri. MHEC aims to enhance higher education access and affordability through interstate cooperation and resource sharing. The compact facilitates collaboration among member states in areas such as policy research, program development, and joint purchasing agreements, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of higher education in the region.
