Linking Science, Math and Literacy for ALL Learners - Taking Applications

Dec 6, 2022

Greetings,

The Linking Science, Mathematics & Literacy for All Learners (LSM&L4AL) program is currently accepting applications from 6th-8th grade teachers of Science, ELA, Mathematics and Special Education for its 2023 cohort.

This unique program offers a yearlong professional development that aims to:

  • Develop 6th-to 8th-grade-level STEM multimodal text sets that address NGSS, CCSS-ELA.RST and CCSS-Math Standards, with embedded math and research-generated data
  • Provide instructional support to teachers using STEM multimodal text sets, with special attention to the needs of diverse learners in new locations and with new populations.

We encourage you to take a look at this unique PD opportunity that blends science, mathematics and ELA content with a focus on the diverse learner in the middle school classroom - an opportunity that we think is a win-win for teachers, students and the associated research.

For more information on the program, how it works, what it means for teachers and their students, commitments, benefits and how to apply, check out the website at https://scienceandliteracy.missouri.edu/

Application deadline is January 5, 2023.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
