Please read this letter that I sent to school leaders earlier today. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the State Board of Education are gathering a Success-Ready Students Work Group to explore alternatives that replace the traditional time-based educational system with a competency-based system. Click here to read more about this work group’s efforts, and bookmark the page to revisit it in the coming months as DESE shares updates as the group’s work progresses.
